Youth Basketball Season Starts Monday

Children interested in shooting hoops can sign up for the 1997-98 youth basketball season.

League play begins Monday and continues through March 6. It is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 15.

The registration fee is $30 and includes a participation award and jersey. Practices are one hour a week between 3 and 5 p.m., and games are played on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The city’s Community Services Department program focuses on game fundamentals and sportsmanship.
