A Fine Line Between Art and Smart

Regarding the Heather Graham fashion spread (“Not for Bikers Only,” photographed by Robert Erdmann, Nov. 9): The good news is that the horizontal lines on the photographs were certainly new and different, avant-garde and artsy and all that. But the bad news is that we couldn’t get a really good look at the model or her clothes. I can get better reception with rabbit ears.

It doesn’t seem as though that technique uses the magazine medium to best advantage.
