UCLA 93, No. 17 Duke 83--Maylana Martin scored 27 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Bruins at Durham, N.C.
Melanie Pearson made five of seven three-point shots and finished with 22 points for the Bruins (3-4), who took advantage of 27 Duke turnovers.
Nicole Erickson scored 29 points for Duke (6-3), which outrebounded UCLA, 45-34.
UCLA made 18 of 23 free throws.
USC 67, Cal State Northridge 60--Adrain Williams, a junior center making her first start, scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds as USC beat the Matadors in the first round of the Boise State tournament.
Tiffany Washington added 16 points and Kristin Clark had 11 for USC (4-2).
Edneisha Curry scored 24 points for Northridge (2-6).
