No. 16 Florida State Just Gets by Florida

Randell Jackson took a 60-foot pass and drove in for a layup with three seconds left Sunday as No. 16 Florida State escaped with an 83-81 victory over Florida at Orlando, Fla.
The Seminoles (7-1) had a 10-point lead midway through the second half, but Florida (5-2) fought back with an onslaught of three-point baskets.
Terrell Baker had 18 points to lead Florida State and Jason Williams finished with 21 points for the Gators.
OTHER MEN’S GAMES
Pat Garrity scored 28 points as Notre Dame (5-2) overcame a pronounced rebounding disadvantage and posted a 78-70 victory over Drexel (3-1) at South Bend, Ind. . . . Monty Mack scored 20 points as Massachusetts (5-3) registered a 65-57 victory over Boston College (6-4) at Boston.
WOMEN’S GAME
Maylana Martin had a game-high 21 points to lead UCLA to a 74-71 victory over Fresno State (4-5) at Fresno. The Bruins (2-3) used 61% second-half shooting and held the Bulldogs to 42%.
