Just when MTV is pulling back a bit on non-music-video programming (both “Beavis and Butt-head” and “Singled Out” are ending), sister channel VH1 is moving ahead in that area. In January, VH1 will start production of its first game show.

Called “My Generation,” the show will revolve around rock and pop trivia, pitting a baby boom team against a pair of Generation X’ers. The possibilities of graying boomers who know every Pink Floyd lyric by heart embarrassing themselves with their ignorance of Nirvana and Coolio are endless.
