Tree-Lighting Ceremony Friday at Civic Center

The city’s 14th annual tree-lighting ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Civic Center courtyard, 401 E. Chapman Ave. Entertainers will include Miss Placentia, the Friendship Baptist Church choral group, performers from the Academy of Ballet and Dance Arts and the St. Joseph’s senior choir. The free event is sponsored by the city’s Cultural Arts Commission. Information: (714) 993-8117.
