San Diego 71, Cal State Northridge 69--A three-point basket by Nosa Obasohan with two seconds to play pulled the Toreros past the Matadors before 675 at the Sports Center in San Diego.
Northridge (1-3) led, 69-64, on a driving layup in traffic by Jabari Simmons, but did not score in the final 2:30.
Obasohan, a senior whose 17 points matched his career high, made two free throws with two minutes left and Brian Miles scored seconds later to pull San Diego (3-2) within one before Obasohan’s winning basket.
Miles led the Toreros with 18 points. Greg Minor scored 21 points for Northridge.
