Piero Farani; Costume Designer for Fellini’s Movies

Piero Farani, 75, who designed costumes for the movies of Federico Fellini. Known for his creativity and distaste for the traditional, Farani dressed the actors for Fellini’s classic films “Amarcord� and “Satyricon.� He also designed costumes for films of Franco Zeffirelli, including “Romeo and Juliet� and “The Taming of the Shrew.� More than 100 of Farani’s costumes will be displayed in a planned exhibition in Rome.
