$3-Million Loss for Krause’s Furniture
BREA — Krause’s Furniture Inc. reported Friday that its fiscal second-quarter loss narrowed to $3 million, or 16 cents a share, from a net loss of $6.2 million, or $1.51 a share, for the year-earlier quarter.
Sales for the quarter ended Aug. 3 increased 6% to $27.8 million from $26.2 million last year.
The company lost $4.6 million, or 24 cents a share, for the six-month period, compared with a net loss of $9.9 million, or $2.39 a share, for last year’s first half. Sales were down slightly to $55.4 million from $55.9 million.
