Free Screenings for Breast Cancer Offered
The YWCA of North Orange County will offer free breast cancer screenings from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Costa Mesa Senior Center.
Included in the screenings are mammograms, clinical breast exams and self-exam instructions. Patients are not required to live in Costa Mesa but must be of limited financial means.
“We have women who take the bus for miles to get to these things,†said Janet Brown, an organizer.
Free screenings are made possible by the Orange County Breast Cancer Partnership Early Detection Program and the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
