If you haven’t had too much Elvisiana surrounding the 20th anniversary of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s death on Aug. 16, 1977, here comes “Raw Elvis,†a CD containing what is believed to be the first live recordings made of Presley, and “Dee Presley’s Family Album,†a coffee table book done from the real photo album kept by Elvis’ stepmother.

The CD includes five songs recorded by two amateur tapers on March 19, 1955, when Presley--still nearly a year away from international fame--performed for about 200 people at Eagle’s Hall in Houston. Ray Ruff, who co-founded Curb Records, has just released it on his new Outwest Records. A limited vinyl edition of the concert recording was sold in 1980, but this is the first wide release. The book, also from Outwest and featuring many previously unpublished photos, will be available in November.
