ZODIAC TONIGHT
Opponent--California Jaguars
Site--Gonzalez High School Stadium, Gonzalez
Time--8
Records--Zodiac 6-12; Jaguars 12-9.
Zodiac update--Still trying turn around a losing trend, the Zodiac will take on a team it beat 2-1 in May at Santa Ana Stadium. That victory stopped a four-game Zodiac losing streak and a four-game Jaguar winning streak. Currently, the Zodiac has lost seven of its last eight games and stands in fifth place in the A-League’s Western Conference Pacific Division with 16 points. With 34 points, California is tied for second with the Colorado Foxes. Vancouver with 31 points is in fourth place, in position to win the division’s final playoff spot. With 10 games remaining in Orange County’s regular season, the Zodiac will have a tough time making the playoffs.
Jaguar update--California has won two consecutive games and is 8-2 at home this season. The teams will play again at 5 p.m. Sunday at Santa Ana Stadium.
