DARMSTADT, Germany — An Army sergeant was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday after being convicted of rape of a subordinate, indecent assault and three counts of forcible sodomy.
The military court found Sgt. Paul Fuller, 25, of Columbus, Ohio, guilty of mistreating five female recruits. It also ordered a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and demotion to the lowest grade.
Fuller is the second former GI instructor convicted in a sexual-assault scandal at the Army’s training center in Darmstadt.
The investigation there was part of a probe of sexual misconduct that began in November in response to the sex scandal at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.
