Almost 2,000 Attend Business Workshop

Nearly 2,000 high school students attended the 13th annual Orange County Youth Business Issues Conference. The all-day event gave students a chance to find out about summer employment opportunities and how to break into the business world.
Workshops on becoming an entrepreneur, technology, interview skills and international business helped students relate their high school education to career goals, participants said.
Teachers also had an opportunity to hear speakers on career prospects for students and changes in the work force.
The annual conference, sponsored by the nonprofit Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County and several local corporations, has become a popular day of real-world business education for students, organizers said.
