Westfall Off Disabled List

Right-hander Allan Westfall, who was on the disabled list with a bad back, was activated by the Lancaster JetHawks on Tuesday. Westfall takes the place of catcher-third baseman Mike Martin, who retired Sunday.

David Skeels is the JetHawks’ only healthy catcher. The team has not placed Dusty Wathan, who was injured in a collision at the plate Friday, on the disabled list.

Tuesday’s opener of a three-game series at Stockton was rained out. The teams will play a doubleheader tonight, and the series concludes Thursday.

Second baseman David Lamb (Newbury Park) has been selected to the Carolina League all-star team, which will play California League all-stars on June 17 in Durham, N.C. Lamb, who plays for Frederick, Md., is hitting .261 with two home runs and 33 runs batted in.

First baseman Robert Fick (Newbury Park, Ventura College, Cal State Northridge) was picked to the Midwest League all-star team. Fick, who plays for West Michigan, is batting .367 with nine home runs and 35 RBIs.
