Pierce’s Wakabayashi is JC All-American

Pierce College diver Motoki Wakabayashi, the Western State Conference Swimmer/Diver of the Year, has been named a JC All-American.
Wakabayashi, a freshman from Japan, was undefeated in eight dual meets and won both one- and three-meter springboard diving titles at the Southern California regional championships and placed second overall in the state meet.

Conejo Simi Aquatics is hosting a age group invitational meet at Rancho Simi Community Pool today through Monday.
The meet includes club swimmers from Southern California and Arizona.

Mid Valley Pony baseball is holding a Memorial Day Weekend tournament in several divisions today through Monday at its complex at Louise Avenue and Oxnard Street in Encino.

Auto Racing
The California Sports Car Club and the Southern Pacific Division GT-4 Drivers Association will stage the third annual Memorial Day Weekend GT-4 Fun Festival today through Monday at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond.
Among those expected to participate in the weekend of races are former Southern Pacific GT-4 champions Tom Neely, Greg Clark and Rick Bernocco.
