If you go for the heaping sentimentality of “Butterfly Kisses,” the daddy-daughter dialogue that’s reducing the nation to tears, this obscure Christian-popster’s got another one loaded up in the chamber: “Man of His Word,” a generation-spanning portrait of a guy who’s a rock, if not quite a saint. Actually, the over-the-top melodrama of those two cuts is a relief from the liturgical turgor and inspirational cotton candy that surround them.
