Driver Hurt in Crash

A Ventura man was in critical condition with head and facial injuries after the car he was driving crashed into a bridge railing near Fillmore early Tuesday, California Highway Patrol officials said.
Rickie Kettering, 20, was driving alone south on California 23 about 12:30 a.m. when his car left the road, a CHP spokesman said. Kettering’s car slammed into the railing of the Santa Clara River Bridge.
