School’s New Equipment Is Child’s Play
Parents, faculty and pupils at Ascension Lutheran School held a dedication ceremony Tuesday for a $17,000 playground, which Principal Mary Kantola called a “visual statement of parent support.â€
Funding for the playground equipment was raised last November at the private school’s annual dinner-auction, where 178 items donated by parents and businesses were sold.

The playground includes hand rings, climbing bars, a tube slide and a “Bigfoot†slide, which consists of three slides.
