Righteous Brothers to Perform at Fair
Connie Francis and The Righteous Brothers will join the headliners at the 1997 Ventura County Fair, fair officials announced.
Francis, who received international acclaim for her 1958 hit, “Who’s Sorry Now,†has recorded numerous records for MGM Records, including bestsellers like “Frankieâ€, “Lipstick on Your Collar,†and “Where the Boys Are.â€
The Righteous Brothers--Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield--hit it big with “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling.†Other hits included “Just Once in My Lifeâ€, “Ebb Tide†and “Unchained Melody.â€
Already scheduled to appear are Weird Al Yankovic, Trisha Yearwood and the Neville Brothers.
The fair begins Aug. 13 and runs through Aug. 24 at Seaside Park in Ventura. Entertainment is free with admission to the fair.
