San Jose REIT Buys O.C. Apartments
While Irvine Apartment Communities has been developing all over Irvine Ranch, San Jose-based REIT Bay Apartment Communities is buying up apartment complexes in neighboring areas. The company recently purchased a 301-unit complex at 111 Via Serena in Rancho Santa Margarita from Tijeras Partnership for $17.7 million. It is the company’s fifth Orange County purchase since entering the market last year. It also owns complexes in Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa and Mission Viejo.
