HOUSTON — Frederic Chabot played like the league most valuable player that he is, stopping 26 of 27 shots Thursday night as the Houston Aeros defeated the Ice Dogs, 4-1, in the first game of the IHL’s best-of-seven Western Conference Turner Cup finals.
The loss snaps a seven-game postseason winning streak for the Ice Dogs, who had previously swept the Milwaukee Admirals and Utah Grizzlies.
