Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District recently honored Kay Bray, James Locke and Gail Stevenson as the district’s 1997 outstanding classified employees.
Bray, the Irvine Valley representative, has worked as a matriculation assistant in the student services office on campus since 1992. Saddleback College’s classified employee is Locke, who has been the library technician in learning resources at the school for the last three years.
Stevenson is the district services recipient of the outstanding employee award. Since coming to the district in 1988, Stevenson has held positions in payroll and purchasing and distribution and has served as president of the district classified council. She is currently a representative of the Orange County Legislative Task Force, a community college organization dedicated to educating and informing local officials of community college issues.
