Brad Avery, director of Orange Coast College’s Sailing Center, will recount his monthlong voyage to Antarctica during a 90-minute lecture.
In January and February, Avery and seven sailors traveled from Puerto Williams, Chile, to the ice-covered continent aboard a 54-foot cutter, Polar Mist.
Avery’s talk is at 7:30 p.m. Friday in OCC’s Science Hall. The campus is at 2701 Fairview Road.
