Chapman Baseball Gets Regional Bid

The Chapman baseball team received its first NCAA playoff bid since 1984 when the Division III regional pairings were announced Monday.
The Panthers (28-12) will play Cal Lutheran (33-7) in a five-game West Regional tournament starting at 3 p.m. Thursday at Moorpark College. A doubleheader will be played at noon Friday. If necessary, the teams will play one or two games Saturday.
The teams, which split two games, have been the top Division III teams in California for much of the season.
