Camera Platforms Posts Profitable 1st Quarter

Camera Platforms International Inc. posted a small profit in its first quarter, marking its first profitable quarter this decade.
The company posted net income of $9,000 in the quarter that ended March 31, compared with a net loss of $434,000 in the same period a year earlier.
Revenues in the latest quarter rose 32% to $1.05 million, compared with revenues of $792,000 a year earlier.
Camera Platforms attributed its profit in part to a 43% reduction in its general and administrative expenses.
The North Hollywood-based company is a supplier of production equipment for the film and television industries.
