Man Suspected of Raping Girl, 15

HUNTINGTON BEACH — A 29-year-old Fountain Valley man was jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail Thursday after being arrested on suspicion of raping a 15-year-old acquaintance in Pomona, police said.
Pomona Police Lt. Charles Watts said Christian Bowman was accused of rape and oral copulation after allegedly attacking a 15-year-old girl about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at a Pomona hotel.
Watts said the girl, a Huntington Beach resident, reported the rape to her mother Wednesday evening. The mother then called police.
Bowman was arrested about 6:15 p.m. Thursday by Huntington Beach police after Pomona police issued a bulletin that they were looking for him.
