LAKERS TONIGHT

Opponent--Cleveland Cavaliers.

Site--Gund Arena, Cleveland.

Time--4:30 PDT.

TV--Channel 9 (delayed 6 p.m.).

Radio--KLAC (570, delayed 6 p.m.).

Records--Lakers 44-21, Cavaliers 35-30.

Record vs. Cavaliers--0-1.

Laker update--They were waiting in Cleveland on Wednesday night while the Cavaliers lost at Charlotte. The Lakers had better be rested because they are in a 10-game stretch in which every outing is part of a back-to-back, with the next three contests coming against the Cavaliers, Miami and Orlando.

Cavalier update--All-star guard Terrell Brandon is day to day after suffering a bruised tail bone in the second quarter Friday at Portland. The injury kept him out the rest of that game, and out Monday against Detroit and Wednesday at Charlotte. That moved Bob Sura into the starting lineup and, in turn, made Reggie Geary, the rookie from Arizona and Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, the backup. Geary had averaged only 5.5 minutes per outing before the promotion.
