How in the world can any baseball owner justify a $746,000 raise to a pitcher like Aaron Sele, who had a 7-11 record an 5.32 earned-run average in 1996?
Maybe if he improves his record to 4-18 with an ERA of more than 6, he can have his contract restructured to give him more than $2 million a season.
Who says there is nothing wrong with baseball?
