Quality Systems Inc.: The Tustin developer and provider of management systems for medical and dental group practices recorded a loss of $80,000, or 1 cent a share, for the third fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31, contrasted with net income of $605,000, or 13 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue climbed 9% to $4.7 million from $4.3 million. For the nine months, the company posted a net loss of $7.7 million, or $1.30 a share, which included an $8.3-million charge for purchased research and development. Quality Systems earned $1.7 million, or 35 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Revenue increased 14% to $14 million from 12.3 million.
