Fennell, blessed with speed and outstanding skills, is the Monarchs’ leading scorer with 17 goals, thanks to weeks like this. She scored two goals, including the winner, in a 3-2 victory over Dana Hills and three in a 5-2 victory over Trabuco Hills. “Alison’s goals are not necessarily spectacular,” Coach Austin Sharp said. “They’re just really timely.”

* Esperanza, junior. Scored 21 points in a 71-51 victory over Huntington Beach that clinched the Sunset League title.
Aprile Powell/Basketball/Forward
* Century, sophomore. Scored 21, including a three-pointer with two seconds left in regulation, in 57-51 overtime victory over El Dorado.
Michelle Woiemberghe/Soccer/Forward
* Cypress, senior. Scored two goals in a 2-1 victory over Kennedy that clinched the Empire League title.
