Deputies Target Waverly Heights
THOUSAND OAKS — In response to numerous citizen complaints, Thousand Oaks sheriff’s deputies will be targeting speeding drivers on Waverly Heights Drive this week.
Deputies said citizens and department personnel have observed drivers traveling well above the 25 mph speed limit during weekday evenings.
Waverly Heights Drive is in a residential section of Thousand Oaks and has a great deal of pedestrian traffic during the evening.
Thousand Oaks-based deputies say they hope that getting tough with careless drivers will reduce the number of speed-related accidents.
