Mourning Out, Dumars In
A sore heel will prevent Alonzo Mourning from becoming the Miami Heat’s first All-Star starter. Mourning, who injured the heel in Wednesday’s game, pulled out of Sunday’s All-Star game. He’ll be replaced by Detroit Piston guard Joe Dumars.
“It’s very disappointing to me because I would have had the opportunity to start, and it’s a great honor,” Mourning said.

Boston guard Dana Barros will have surgery Monday on his left ankle, sidelining him for at least eight weeks. Barros, 30, has been bothered by bone spurs in the ankle and has sat out 21 games.
