When King defenseman Doug Zmolek left after the first period of Monday night’s 3-2 victory at Calgary because of an irregular heartbeat, it was not the first time he has suffered the ailment.
Zmolek, who had his heart regulated in a Calgary hospital, had a similar episode two years ago.
Zmolek did not join the team for tonight’s game at San Jose and will be out indefinitely.

Forwards Ray Ferraro and Ian Laperriere, who did not play Monday because of injuries, are questionable for tonight’s game against the Sharks.

Robinson said the Kings will file a complaint to the league about Calgary winger Ron Stern’s check on Berg against the backboards in the second period of Monday’s game. Stern received a two-minute charging penalty but the Kings also want a fine and possible suspension.
