The city is trying to fill vacancies on a newly formed Calabasas Tree Advisory Board, as well as four positions with the Traffic and Transportation Commission and the Parks and Recreation Commission, which will open in March.

All potential appointees must reside in Calabasas and must file by Feb. 28.

For the Tree Advisory Board, the City Council is looking for residents who are familiar with the issues, interests and needs of the community with regard to tree planting and care.

Three appointments will be made for an initial one-year term, and two will be made for a regular two-year term.

Also, two terms on the city’s Traffic and Transportation Commission will be available March 31. The commissioners advise the council on matters pertaining to citywide transportation.
