Screenings for Children, Infants Offered Monday

PLACENTIA — Free developmental screenings for infants and children will be offered Monday from 7:45 to 10 a.m. at Whitten Center, 900 Melrose Ave.
The screenings are for children ranging in age from newborn to 5 years. Early-childhood specialists will evaluate speech and language, hearing, vision and motor skills.
In addition, parents will be offered referrals to community resources and parent-to-parent support groups.
Spanish translation will be available.
The developmental screenings are offered by Families First Collaborative, which includes the Regional Center of Orange County.
The center is a nonprofit group that provides services to about 9,000 Orange County residents who have developmental disabilities.
