Recycling Plant Is a Cracked Idea
Egg City no longer has chickens and the accompanying stench. Instead, it is proposed that we will have a building materials recycling center--if the applicant gets his permit.
After all the years of complaint about Egg City, it is beyond reasonable comprehension why such a proposal would even be given passing consideration. Is it because some benighted bureaucrat thinks that we miss the stink and is about to replace it with the acrid smell of asphalt and the dust and general mess that earmark a recycling operation?
The land is owned by an absentee landlord and will be leased for the recycling plant. It is extremely unlikely that any representative of the landlord lives in the area or deals with the truck traffic. It is strictly business.
Residents should call their council members and supervisor to stop this idiocy and to rethink new approvals which add to truck traffic.
