Clipper update--Forward Loy Vaught, who scored 20 of his 28 points in the second half of Thursday night’s 100-94 victory against the Vancouver Grizzlies, has averaged 23.7 points in his last three games. Forward Rodney Rogers had a season-high 11 rebounds against the Grizzlies.
Warrior update--In guard Latrell Sprewell and forward Joe Smith, Golden State has the NBA’s second-best scoring tandem, behind Chicago’s Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Sprewell is averaging 25 points a game, Smith 20. The Warriors have lost five of seven and scored eight points against the Bulls in the first quarter Friday.
