Freshmen Set Pace for Master’s

Freshmen Jerome Joseph and Joclin Julmist had career highs for The Master’s College in a 78-62 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Wednesday night at Newhall.

Julmist scored 20 points, hitting nine of 14 shots. His 16 rebounds led the Mustangs (12-4).

Joseph had 19 points, including three three-pointers.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Simi Valley 1, Thousand Oaks 0--Pat Arriola scored and Eric Cooper got his sixth shutout for the Pioneers (13-2-1, 3-0 in league) in a Marmonte League match at Thousand Oaks (6-5, 1-2).

Camarillo 2, Westlake 2--Mike Murray and Nick Androski scored for the Warriors (0-5-3, 0-2-1), but Chad Schutt got the tying goal for Camarillo in the 73rd minute of a Marmonte League match.

Rio Mesa 11, Malibu 0--Jaime Ambriz scored three goals and had two assists for the Spartans (5-1-1) at Rio Mesa.

Loyola 2, St. Francis 0--Andy Rojas made nine saves but the Knights (3-5-2) lost a Mission League opener at St. Francis.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Chaminade 2, Notre Dame 1--Linsey Horn scored the decisive goal with 13 minutes left for the Eagles (11-1-3, 1-0) in a Mission League match at Chaminade.

Louisville 2, Alemany 2--Allison Schuler and Bridget Madell scored for the Royals (6-3) and Nicolette Harrod and Michelle Pentreth scored for the Indians (3-7-3) in a Mission League opener.

Agoura 6, Channel Islands 0--Sarah Landis recorded her sixth shutout for the Chargers (8-1, 3-0) in a Marmonte League match at Channel Islands (1-1-2, 0-1-2).

Newbury Park 2, Royal 0--Sandy Milin and Danielle McCain scored second-half goals for the Panthers (2-4-1, 2-1) to down the Highlanders (5-5-2, 0-3) in a Marmonte League match.

Westlake 3, Camarillo 0--Megan Daly, Ali Trowbridge and Jenna Writz scored for the Warriors (4-3-1, 2-1) in a Marmonte League match at Camarillo.

La Reina 3, Calabasas 0--Aimee Thompson scored twice for the Regents (10-3-1) at Calabasas.
