Fullerton’s Baca Scores 22 in Victory
Angie Baca scored 22 points to help Fullerton to a 79-63 victory over Irvine Valley on Monday in third-place game of the Fullerton women’s basketball tournament.
Paula Flores added 18 points and six rebounds for Fullerton. Andrea Picchi scored 13 points for Irvine Valley.
Angela Burgess, who played at Woodbridge High, was 11 of 15 from the field and scored 22 points to lead Umpqua (Ore.) past Salt Lake, 70-52, in the championship game. She was the tournament’s most valuable player.
In the Hancock men’s tournament:
Cypress 60, Irvine Valley 56--A.D. Lamoureux had 21 points and 15 rebounds for Cypress (7-7).
