RESEDA — The body of a 33-year-old man who had been shot repeatedly in the head and chest was found in the street in a residential neighborhood Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Police and paramedics answering reports of shots having been fired found the man, who had been killed with a semiautomatic weapon, shortly after noon in a cul-de-sac in the 6500 block of Etiwanda Avenue, said LAPD spokesman Mike Partain.
The man’s identity was withheld pending notification of his family, police said. Witnesses saw two men fleeing in a white Mercedes-Benz convertible coupe, driving east on Kittridge Street.
Police said the motive for the shooting was unknown and the investigation was continuing.
