Excalibur Girls’ Soccer Tournament Postponed

SANTA ANA — The final rounds of the Foothill Excalibur girls’ soccer tournament, set for Saturday, were postponed until Jan. 3 because of muddy fields.
Esperanza will play Dana Hills and Mission Viejo will play La Costa in the championship semifinals at 10 a.m. The third-place game will be at 2 p.m. and the championship will be at 2:30 p.m.
Three-time defending tournament champion Marina will play Los Alamitos in the fifth-place semifinals at 8:30 a.m. San Diego University will play Glendora St. Lucy’s in the other fifth-place semifinal. The fifth-place game will be held at noon.
Capistrano Valley, the tournament’s top-seeded team, will play El Dorado in the ninth-place semifinals at 8:30 a.m. Edison will play Laguna Hills in the other ninth-place semifinal. The ninth-place game will be held at noon.
In the consolation semifinals at 10 a.m., Woodbridge will play Trabuco Hills and El Modena will play Irvine for spots in the consolation final at 2 p.m.
