Bike Path Would Link Park, Downtown
As soon as May, a paved bike path may link Moorpark’s downtown neighborhoods with Arroyo Vista Community Park.
The City Council today is scheduled to discuss building a path that would connect the park’s road to a proposed bridge over the Arroyo Simi near Liberty Bell Road. If council members approve plans for the path, and agree to seek construction bids for it, the path would be completed as part of the bridge project this spring.
The path would range in width from 15 to 30 feet and cost an estimated $254,220. The city has already set aside $300,000 for the project in the 1996-1997 budget.
