Schlegel took seven shots without a goal in a 3-2 victory over Huntington Beach Friday, but broke through in a big way Saturday. She scored three goals (in six shots) in a 4-0 victory over Irvine in the semifinals of the Irvine tournament and scored one in a 2-0 victory over Woodbridge in the title game.

* El Toro, freshman. Scored 24 points, including a three-pointer at the buzzer, in a 52-49 victory over Costa Mesa.
Natalie Nakase/Basketball/Guard
* Marina, junior. Named most valuable player of Alaska Hoops Challenge, averaging 19 points and leading Vikings to third place.
Shauna Steward/Basketball/Guard
* Edison, senior. Named MVP of the Estancia tournament after scoring 13 in a 57-50 victory over Huntington Beach in the title game.
