Orange Defeats Century in Tournament

Malcolm Moon scored 10 of his game-high 19 points in overtime as Orange slipped past Century, 53-50, in the semifinals of the Century boys’ basketball tournament Friday night at Century High.
The Panthers (5-1) will meet Dana Hills in the championship game at 8 tonight. Century plays University for third place at 6 p.m.
Moon, who also had seven assists, sealed the victory after sinking two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to put the Panthers up by five points.
Century (3-2) held a six-point lead entering the fourth quarter, but was outscored, 8-2, in the final quarter. The Centurions also missed two free throws with five seconds left in regulation.
Chris Lopez led the Centurions with 18 points.
