Busy Family Earns Honor From City

Beth and Corey Sprague say that, despite hectic schedules, there’s always time for the family.
That strong bond, according to the City Council, is among reasons the Spragues were named 1996 Cypress Family of the Year.
“Corey and Beth Sprague are to be praised for their strong commitment to each other, to their family, to their church and to their community,” council members stated in a resolution congratulating the family.
The Spragues have three children--Sean, 13; Scott, 10; and Sarah, 8--and are active in a number of school and youth activities. The family belongs to the Cypress stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
They were chosen by a citizens’ committee from nine families nominated for the annual award.
