Weighty Issue
Although Carnival Cruise Lines’ recently launched Destiny is certainly one of the largest cruise ships afloat, it does not “weigh in at 101,353 gross registered tons,†as stated in “News, Tips & Bargains†(Nov. 24). According to Carnival’s Currents magazine, “Destiny’s 101,000 tons are a measure of volume, not weight; they represent 10,100,000 cubic feet of space.â€
