Manhattan Beach Mira Costa 46, Lompoc Cabrillo 14--Junior Hussein Meadows caught 50- and 69-yard third-quarter touchdown passes from Kevin Cooper for two of his five touchdowns as the host Mustangs (10-3) broke a 14-14 halftime tie and advanced to their third championship game in the past four seasons.
Meadows, who became Mira Costa’s starting tailback when senior Sunny Byrd sustained a knee injury in the Mustangs’ playoff opener two weeks ago, also ran for four- and 40-yard touchdowns and caught a 44-yard, second-quarter touchdown pass from Cooper.
Cooper passed for 326 yards.
