Janex Loses $357,693 as Sales Slide 34%

Janex International Inc., a Woodland Hills-based manufacturer of children’s products, said it recorded a loss of $357,693 for the third quarter that ended Sept. 30. The loss contrasts to a profit of $239,149 in the same quarter last year.
Sales were $2.98 million for the quarter, down 34% from $4.5 million.
The loss for the nine months that ended Sept. 30 widened to $896,065, from $290,596 last year. Sales in the nine months were $6.32 million, down 17% from $7.59 million the prior year.
