Los Amigos (6-3, 4-1) vs. Santiago (6-3, 4-1)
7 T0NIGHT GARDEN GROVE HIGH SCHOOL
No one figured Santiago would get this far, playing for second place in a league where Pacifica looked as if it would challenge Rancho Alamitos for the league title. But the Mariners have fallen on hard times and Santiago has overachieved with a better-than-average passing game and a balanced rushing attack. Los Amigos always figured in the mix as one of the league’s top three teams, but no one thought tonight’s game would be so big. Like the Cavaliers, Los Amigos features a balanced attack, however, Lobo Coach Roger Takahashi said, “They’ll try to exploit our secondary.”
